Klemt Echolette S40 Showstar 1964

by Clingan Guitars

$2,000.00

Up for sale is a vintage and rare 1964 Klemt Echolette S40 Showstar.

This guitar amp head was made in West Germany in the 1964 and was used by the Beatles when they played in Hamburg.
The Showstar has two el34's, and has a separate vibrato/tremolo circuit. It has a deep and rich tone, with a huge vintage beefy iron vibe, truly awesome sounding.

This amp produces an amazing, gritty, and distorted tone as you start turning it up. You simply MUST(!) jumper the inputs! It starts sounding super cool at about 1/2 volume and keeps getting better the more its turned up, until you enter full-on, pure, real golden era, distortion. This amp has a phenomenal, tight break-up with a creamy, squishy, gritty overdrive. The tremolo circuit sounds great and has a mellow character.
This amp is in excellent condition when you consider its age, and is in perfect working order!
