Hofner Senator 1960

Up for sale is a Hofner Senator. 

This 1960 German made Hofner Senator is absolutely stunning. Hofner was well known as one of the first imported electric guitar and bass brands in the UK, imported by Selmer of London. These instruments were famously used by The Beatles and several other British groups. The Senator was meant to be the “working man’s Hofner” and as such sat rather low on the hierarchy of Archtops in the Hofner catalogue.

This guitar features really nice maple with flame veneers on the back and sides. Sounds warm, and has heaps character, with a cool vintage jazz tone. Recently setup in house and plays, feels and sounds great. Overall in excellent condition for its age, and wont let down. 
Please note- Pickup on guitar is not original and has been installed sometime down the track.
