Greco EG-500 1979 - Black

by Clingan Guitars

£647.00

A killer example of Japan’s “lawsuit era” craftsmanship, this 1979 Greco EG-500 delivers all the vintage Les Paul-style tone and feel without the hefty price tag. Built at the famed Fujigen factory, this guitar features a mahogany body with a carved maple top, a comfortable medium-C neck profile, and Maxon U-1000 humbuckers that dish out everything from warm, dynamic cleans to rich, punchy overdrive. With long tenon construction for extra sustain and rock-solid tuning stability, this Greco punches well above its weight, offering all the sweet, vocal-like midrange and singing sustain of a well-aged LP.

Drenched in vintage mojo, the finish has worn beautifully over the decades, giving this EG-500 the kind of played-in feel that just can’t be faked. The binding and inlays have aged to a perfect amber, and the original hardware has developed just the right amount of patina. The frets have plenty of life, and the guitar plays effortlessly up and down the neck. If you're after an authentic, road-worn vintage LP-style guitar with undeniable character and vibe, this Greco EG-500 is the one.
