£60.00Marshall's Ed-1 Edward "The Compressor" sounds great and is built like a tank. This one's in very good condition with very few light surface scuffs. It's a great all-round compressor.
It can do everything the Boss Compressor does—Sounds at least as good and might be built even tougher (which is truly saying something!). It's a really great compressor pedal in a really great form factor.
The Fixx's guitarist Jamie West Oram used one for awhile (might still for all I know). Whether you like that '80s clean and snappy single-coil/Strat pop sound, it's a great showcase for a compressor. And this Marshall ED-1 does it very well. Check out The Fixx's "Beautiful Friction" Live in the Bing Lounge for a fantastic example.
Defects - A couple of little chips to the case and one large chip near the Marshall logo.
